OFFICE OF THE TOWN CLERK

The Town Clerks work hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4pm.  She is responsible for keeping records of the Town Board meetings and records of contracts and agreements the Town makes.

The Town Clerk receives and records various documents such as land evidence records, vital statistics, voter registration, election information, claim submissions and requests for access to public documents. Vital records are kept from 1890 to the present.

This office also processes the various certificates, licenses, and permits stated below:

  • Marriage License
  • Dog License
  • Hunting, & Fishing License - fee varies
  • Birth Certificates
  • Death Certificates
  • Compost Site Ticket – re-issued each year
  • Steuben County Landfill Ticket
  • Handicap Parking Permits

The Town Clerk is the Tax Collector for town and county tax payments from January through April 11 only.

The Town Clerk co-ordinates Annual Free Rabies Clinic.

The Town Clerk takes and maintains minutes of all Town Board meetings.
